IT Support Analyst – 1st and 2nd Line Support – June 2022

We are currently on the lookout for an additional IT Support Analyst to join our growing team.

The Role

As an IT Support Analyst, located at our offices in Sale, Manchester, you’ll be responsible for the support of a wide range of IT equipment to provide a comprehensive IT Support service to end users. Your standard hours will be Mon-Fri 9am to 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week).

Specifically, your role will comprise:

 ·        Providing operational and technical support to a varied customer base
·        
Supporting our own internal equipment
·        
Planning and designing network infrastructure
·        
Configuring, testing and deploying network servers and desktop devices
·        
Installing and Managing Microsoft Cloud Services (O365, Sharepoint etc.)
·        
Supporting servers running on Windows Server Operating Systems
·        
Planning, implementing and configuring secure wireless networks
·        
Installing, maintaining and supporting a range of routers, typically Draytek, Cisco and Netgear
·        
Supporting desktops, laptops and mobiles running on Windows operating systems
·        
Performing routine network administration tasks, such as implementing resilient backup solutions
·        
Resolving hardware, software, data transit issues and conflicts
·        
Installing, configuring and supporting VoIP telephone systems (previous experience would be good but training will be given as necessary)
·        
Provisioning of new users including IT Hardware, licenses and required access to systems including VPN and network

 

About You

 To be considered for this role, you will need:

 ·        A proven ability to work in a logical and methodical manner, to be able to prioritise own workload and work to strict deadlines in accordance with SLAs
·        
Experienced in the use and support of Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
·        Experienced in the use and support of Microsoft Windows Desktop environments and applications, including Windows 10 and 11
·        
In-depth experience of working with Active Directory and Exchange Server
·        
Experience with virtualisation technologies including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere
·        
A full clean driving licence and access to your own transport (customer site visits are sometimes required – mileage will be paid)
·        
A team player mentality and the ability to work with minimal supervision
·        
Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills
·        
To be within a commutable distance of our office
·        
You must be eligible to work in the UK
